WHAT IS
ST NICS LIKE?
St Nics is all about loving God, loving our neighbour, and serving the people of Durham. We are right in the heart of Durham City, in the Market Place. We have a heart to reach out and serve our city and beyond.
On a typical Sunday over 250 people gather to worship at St Nics. We bring a warm welcome, a space of refuge and restoration, and a place of God’s hope and love and an opportunity to hear about Jesus.
WHAT IS DURHAM LIKE?
Durham is a compact, vibrant, university city with ancient streets, many bridges over the winding River Wear and a magnificent Norman cathedral. It has a rich cultural heritage and excellent modern amenities such as gyms, cinemas, shops, restaurants, and theatre venues.
We benefit from being a 15 minute train ride away from the centre of Newcastle with all the advantages that a large city can offer. (And London is only three hours by train.) If you prefer countryside or beaches, we are within easy reach of both.
