Join in with all of us at St Nics and churches around the world as we pray 'Thy Kingdom Come'. You can join by doing three things:
Pray for 5 friends or family to come to faith in Jesus
Deepen their own relationship with Jesus Christ
Pray for the empowerment of the Spirit that we would be effective in our witness
It is our prayer that those who have not yet heard the Good News of Jesus Christ and his love for the world will hear it for themselves, and respond and follow Him. Specifically, we invite every member of St. Nics to pray that God’s Spirit might work in the lives of 5 friends who have not responded with their ‘Yes’ to God’s call.
Why not light a candle at 5pm every day and pause to pray for your five?
There is a Prayer Journal with Bible readings, reflections and care actions to download from the website. It features the ‘Father’s Love’ illustration from
renowned artist Charlie Mackesy
on the cover. The Printable version is available here.
Using a Journal to Pray
Each day there is a passage from the Bible, a short reflection, a prayer, and a suggestion for action plus space for your own notes. Ask questions as you go - did a phrase jump out at you? Did God bring something to your mind as you prayed? When you took action, how did it go?
Join us each day as we livestream at 9am, 12 midday and 9pm on our FaceBook page. Our midday prayer will be different throughout this week as we follow the prayers from the TKC Prayer app.
After midday prayer, you will be invited to listen to the daily podcast by Tom Wright. We'd love to know what you think, so leave us a comment on our facebook page.
The Upper Room
Inspired by the upper room experience in the book of Acts, where the early disciples gathered to pray, this timely resource encourages churches to go deeper in continuous prayer drawing on the richness of this historic tradition. In past years, the prayer room was a place where churches can gather and take part in continuous prayer alongside international prayer organisation - 24-7 Prayer. This year, our prayer rooms will be spread throughout every home as we unite in prayer on Wednesday 27th May, from 6-7am. We would love to hear about your experience during our Prayer and Praise event on Saturday.
Praying together can be fun! TKC has created an amazing resource for families. Kids can explore an interactive map that comes to life through a free augmented reality app. The map is full of activities based on the daily themes of Thy Kingdom Come. This includes Bible story animations and video reflections from well-known Christians including Archbishop Justin Welby, CBeebies’ presenter Gemma Hunt, Guvna B, Eye Can Talk author Jonathan Bryan, Author of the Jesus Storybook Bible, Sally Lloyd Jones and Storyteller Philip Glassborow.
Join us for a prayer and praise hour on Zoom, Saturday 30th May, 8-9pm. This will be a great time to share stories, encourage one another, and pray together. There will also be a chance to worship together with live music, but don't worry singing with your mic on is optional! The Zoom link can be found in the online notices. Don't get the online notices? Subscribe today so you can stay connected with everything happening at St Nics.
Care for those you are praying for, pray for those you are caring for.
During these difficult and trying times, we believe that now more than ever, presents an incredible opportunity for the Church worldwide, to unite in prayer so that our family, friends and neighbours will come to know the love and peace of Jesus Christ for themselves.
