St Nics, Durham

We love Students and we love Durham!

Nics students are a friendly and diverse bunch, and we look forward to welcoming you! If you are an undergraduate or a postgraduate, studying at college or doing an apprenticeship, you are very welcome here. If you are an international student, from just down the road, or from another part of the UK, we really want Nics to be a home for you, and a place to help you flourish.

Being a student is exciting and stimulating, but, at times, it can be really difficult. We are here for you. We want to support you through your time in Durham. Our hope is that every student who comes through our doors finds a place in our church to discover more of what it means to follow Jesus and live out their Christian faith.

Every week in term we meet at church on Thursday at 7 for a meal, a time of worship and a short talk, we then break up into small groups for discussion.

Students are very welcome at each of our three services, and we often head to the pub after our 6:30 service.

Be a Part of Something Bigger

Nics is a vibrant intergenerational church. While you are here join us in making Durham your home! See how God can use you to help show his love to this community and the world. There are lots of ways to do this, from children's ministry, to working with teenagers or helping with music and worship. And you can make some new friends along the way!

Throughout the year we run a number of student specific events as well as encouraging students to get involved across the church to become fully integrated in the life of the wider church family.

We look forward to seeing you!
