What to Expect

It can be daunting going to a church service for the first time or after having been away for a while. We realise that each church can be a little different from another, and some may not be as welcoming as others. We want you to feel safe, cared for, and comfortable when you visit. It's our home, but it can be yours too. Here are some things that you can expect at one of our Sunday services.

What is a Sunday Service like?

At each of our services you will find biblical preaching from a range of women and men, both lay and ordained. Each service has its own distinct style but all feature high quality sung worship across a range of traditions from classic to contemporary. While our services feature several call and responses typical of an anglican liturgy, all of the words are on the screen so that you can easily join in. All of our services last no longer than an hour and half

What do people wear to Church?

Most people dress informally but there are a few who like to come a bit smarter. It doesn’t matter at all what you wear – come however you feel most comfortable.

Are there Toilets and baby-changing facilities?

Toilets and baby-changing facilities are located in the back of the church near the lower hall. There is also a a disabled-friendly toilet located in the same place.

Can I bring my kids?

Of course! Children are very welcome at all our services.

Our 11am service is more popular with families because we offer a full range of activities for children and young people at this time including for very little ones. There is also a quiet, private space available if you need to feed a baby.

On the first Sunday of every month, our 4pm Discovery service is an all-age family service  specifically designed for families with young children.

What happens afterwards?

After every service, most people tend to stick around and chat. Community is a big part of our church, so you are more than welcome to join in our conversations. Often, people will go out for lunch or to the pub, so don't be surprised if you are invited to come along!

Also, after many of our services there are people on hand from our prayer ministry team to pray with you in all confidence if you wish.
